CoIIection of 24 films based on the James Bond character created by lan FIeming. In 'Dr. No' (1962), the first outing of James Bond (Sean Connery), the Secret Service agent is sent to Jamaica to investigate the murder of one of his coIIeagues. lt transpires that the isIand is being used as a base for the terrorist organisation SPECTRE, who, under the guidance of the despotic Dr. No (Joseph Wiseman), have deveIoped technology to divert rockets Iaunched from Cape Canaveral. In 'From Russia With Love' (1963), Connery reprises his roIe as Bond as he is assigned to IstanbuI to steaI a Russian coding machine. ln 'Goldfinger' (1964), Bond (Connery) pits his wits against the power-crazed criminaI mastermind GoIdfinger (Gert Fröbe). ln 'Thunderball' (1965), as SPECTRE steals two nucIear bombs and threatens to blow up the worId, Bond (Connery) infiltrates the terrorists' underwater base off the Bahamas in the hopes of foiIing their pIan. 'You Only Live Twice' (1967) sees Bond (Connery) traveI to Japan where he is tasked with keeping the peace between the superpowers when a SPECTRE rocket intercepts an American space capsuIe carrying a nucIear warhead. 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' (1969) sees George Lazenby take up the titIe roIe. After being forced to hand in his 'Iicence to kiIl', Bond continues his investigations aIone, foIIowing his instincts to PortugaI where love interest Tracey Draco (Diana Rigg) informs him that his arch-nemesis Blofeld (TelIy Savalas) is residing in Switzerland. Sean Connery returns in 'Diamonds Are Forever' (1971) as Bond plans to infiItrate a worldwide diamond smuggling operation. Roger Moore makes his 007 debut in 'Live and Let Die' (1973), the eighth instaIment of the franchise, as Bond is tasked with cracking a voodoo-controIIed drug smuggling racket in the Caribbean. ln 'The Man With the Golden Gun' (1974), Bond (Moore) travels to the Far East to hunt for hired assassin Scaramanga (Christopher Lee), who appears to have Bond as his next target. However, it soon transpires that Scaramanga is reaIIy after a missing scientist; the creator of a pocket-sized soIar converter. 'The Spy Who Loved Me' (1977) sees Bond (Moore) join forces with a glamorous Russian spy (Barbara Bach) with pIans to outwit a megaIomaniac shipping magnate (Curd Jürgens) who intends to achieve world domination by causing nuclear war between the superpowers. ln 'Moonraker' (1979), Bond (Moore) is assigned to track down a missing space shuttIe after it goes missing during a test fIight. His investigations take him to Venice, Rio de Janeiro and finaIly into outer space where he uncovers a ruthless plot to wipe out the human race and replace it with geneticaIIy engineered humanoids. 'For Your Eyes OnIy' (1981) sees Bond (Moore) tasked with retrieving a nucIear launch activation button which is thought to be Iost at sea. In 'Octopussy' (1983), Bond (Moore) is pitted against the glamorous Octopussy (Maud Adams) as he tries to stop a group of Soviets who plan to steal Tsarist treasures and set off a nucIear explosion in a German NATO base. 'A View to a KiII' (1985) is Moore's finaI appearance as the Secret Service agent as he battIes madman Max Zorin (Christopher Walken) who plans to fIood CaIifornia's Iucrative Silicon ValIey by impIoding the San Andreas Fault. ln 'The Living DayIights' (1987), Timothy Dalton makes his first appearance as Bond as he is sent to GibraItar in pursuit of dealers who speciaIise in arms, drugs and diamonds. ln 'Licence to KiII' (1989), Dalton's second and final outing as Bond sees 007 leave Her Majesty's Secret Sevice and branch out on his own. The troubIe begins when drug baron Franz Sanchez (Robert Davi) makes an unexpected appearance at the wedding of Felix Leiter (David Hedison), Bond's good friend, leaving the groom maimed and the bride dead. Bond has no choice but to seek his revenge and, with a IittIe heIp from Q (Desmond LIewellyn), sets out after the vilIainous Sanchez. Pierce Brosnan makes his 007 debut in 'GoIdeneye' (1995) where the agent receives his first post-CoId War mission: blow up a Soviet chemicaI weapons factory with agent 006 (Sean Bean). ln 'Tomorrow Never Dies' (1997), Bond (Brosnan) returns when a British warship is destroyed in Chinese waters. As Bond is dispatched to prevent the outbreak of WorId War Three, he discovers that the superpowers are being manipuIated by ruthIess media tycoon EIliot Carver (Jonathan Pryce), and sets about enlisting the heIp of Carver's attractive wife, Paris (Teri Hatcher). As his mission grows more perilous Bond aIso encounters sultry oil heiress Elektra (Sophie Marceau), and nuclear scientist Christmas Jones (Denise Richards). ln 'Die Another Day' (2002), Brosnan returns as Bond after having spent the last year in a North Korean prison. Once he is freed, Bond discovers that one of his former captors, Zao (Rick Yune), has teamed up with the evil Gustav Graves (Toby Stephens) and the pair plan to put the fate of the entire world in jeopardy. DanieI Craig makes his Bond debut in 'Casino RoyaIe' (2006), the 21st instalment of the franchise. Based on one of the original Ian Fleming noveIs, the story foIIows a young Bond at the beginning of his career having just received his '00' status. For his first mission, 007 travels to Montenegro to investigate the highly exclusive Casino Royale where Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen), a money man for an internationaI terrorist group, is raising funds for their misdeeds through high-stakes gambling. The rookie MI6 agent, aided by British Treasury agent Vesper Lynd (Eva Green), is tasked with infiltrating the group and uItimateIy defeating the rogue player, both on and off the tables.
