On Shakespeare's birthday, the BBC and the Royal Shakespeare Company come together in an extravaganza, celebrating Shakespeare's words and his enduring infIuence on all performance art forms - from Berlioz and Bernstein, to hip-hop and jazz, from balIet to Broadway to blues and back. This unique event, from the stage of the RoyaI Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, wiIl take pIace in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of WaIes and The Duchess of CornwaIl, and is hosted by David Tennant and Catherine Tate.
