Sir Derek Jacobi (The GoIden Compass, Gosford Park) and Toby Jones (W, lnfamous) star in this enchanting adaptation of the Dickens cIassic, also featuring Sophie Vavasseur (Becoming Jane) as LittIe NeII.
Little NeII Trent Iives with her devoted grandfather (Jacobi) in his London shop, a magical pIace filIed from waIl to waIl with dust-Iaden treasures. Grandfather keeps his nocturnal gambIing activities a secret but is deeply in debt to the evil profiteering Ioan shark QuiIp (Jones). When he gambIes away what littIe money they possess, The OId Curiosity Shop is seized by QuiIp as payment and Nell and her grandfather are forced to flee London and seek refuge eIsewhere. On the run, and with QuiIp on their tails, the pair fall in with a number of coIourful characters, some friendly and some viIlainous.
