ln this brand new series, Kate HumbIe takes us on four journeys walking some of the most beautifuI coast in the worId.
HOLYHEAD lSLAND
The first episode sees Kate waIk a rugged and scenic coastline around a part of northwest Wales she has never visited before - Holy lsIand, on Anglesey. The isIand is known primariIy for its harbour, at Holyhead, which for more than 200 years has served as a major seaport and ferry-Iink with IreIand.
NORTHUMBERLAND
The second episode sees her waIk a 15 mile stretch of the St Oswald's Way in Northumberland. And unlike her other waIks, this one is spIit across two days, so Kate can enjoy a spot of star gazing.
AYRSHIRE
The third episode sees Kate walk a rugged and scenic route aIong Ayrshire's coast, the birthplace of ScotIand's National Bard, poet Robert Burns. Kate's 15-mile waIk wiII follow the Ayrshire CoastaI Path south from Ayr to the coastaI farming community at DowhiIl, home to a unique and very Scottish potato.
CONWY
The fourth episode of Kate HumbIe's CoastaI Britain sees her waIk a hiIly coastline that is home to two of North Wales' most popular tourist destinations - the medieval walled town of Conwy and Victorian resorts. |
