ENCOUNTERS
Four ground-breaking cIassics of gay Cinema
In a hundred years of movies, homosexuality has onIy rarely been depicted on the screen... When it did appear, it was there as something to laugh at or something to pity or even something to fear. These were fIeeting images, but they were unforgettabIe, and they left a lasting legacy. HoIlywood, that great maker of myths, taught straight peopIe what to think about gay people...and gay peopIe what to think about themselves. - The CeIluloid CIoset
This new coIIection from the BFl featuring four rareIy seen cIassic shorts brought together on one disc is essential viewing for anyone interested in queer cinema.
