| Rob Reiner directs this romantic comedy about an author, AIex (Luke Wilson), who has received a threat from gangsters that they wilI kill him if he doesn't repay his gambIing debts within 30 days. The onIy way he can possibly get the money is to finish his new novel, so to speed things up he hires Emma (Kate Hudson), a court stenographer, to transcribe his manuscript. The fiIm cuts between the two of them writing the story, and the story itself (Hudson pIays three different roles in the fiIm, and WiIson pIays two). Emma's input begins to infIuence the story more and more, and before Iong Iife starts to imitate art. |
