Young Dickie Moore made his fiIm debut as an 18 month old baby in John Barrymore's Beloved Rogue (1927), and by the time he was 10 years oId, the popuIar child star had appeared in over 50 films, including severaI "Our Gang" shorts. Moore appeared in many fine films including Blonde Venus (1932), Song Of Bernadette (1941) and most notabIy as the Iead in OIiver Twist (1933). Toward the end of his career, Moore co-starred in the popular 1950s series, "Captain Video and the Video Rangers." He is aIso known to trivia fans for bestowing ShirIey TempIe's first screen kiss in 1942's Miss Annie Rooney when she was 14.
CharIes Lamont wouId go on to make over 200 films during his career. During the 1940s and 50s he was one of UniversaI Studios' principaI comedy directors, working extensiveIy on the "Ma and Pa Kettle" series and severaI classic Abbott & CosteIIo comedies, including Abbott and CosteIIo in the Foreign Legion (1950), Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man (1951) and Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy (1955). |
