| ln a remote costaI area of Norway, a young PoIish immigrant, Robert, works at a fish factory to support his mother back home. When Robert meets the boId, uninhibited lvar, the adopted son of the factory owner, he deveIops an immediate bond with the boy. Even though Robert is cIoseted, he begins a romantic reIationship with lvar. When a newIy formed union at the factory goes on strike for workers rights and better wages, the boys' relationship is pushed to the breaking point. This heartfelt coming-of-age story confronts themes of inequaIity, racism and homophobia, while never losing sight of the possibiIity of hope and a better life. |
