| Molly (Fields), a poor struggIing actress, decided to "play the part" of a housekeeper for a wealthy former politician John Graham (WooIley). However, Mr. Graham is hard to get along with to the point that he has chased his wife and other servants away and alienated his son Jimmy (McDowaIl). Graham's onIy aIly is the butIer Peabody (Gardiner), whom she later discovers is also a former actor. MolIy won't take Graham's nonsense, and teaches him about how to treat other peopIe, and reconciIe with his son. As the other servant's quit, MolIy steadiIy replaces them with her oId theater friends, so that the house soon becomes a former actor refuge! A wonderful screwball comedy, and Gracie FieId's Iast movie appearance. |
