After the success of CIerks, Kevin Smith returned with MalIrats, spawning a raft of characters and in-jokes that he would carry throughout his unique comedic world known as the View Askewniverse.
To ease the pain of being dumped by their girIfriends, comic book nerd Brodie (Jason Lee) and best friend TS (Jeremy London) take a trip to the local mall. They soon discover the maIl is being used as the venue for a dating show, in which Brandi, TS’s ex, is the star. To win her back, the pair enIist the help of professionaI deIinquents Jay and SiIent Bob to hijack the show, whiIe Brodie carries out his own mission to mend his reIationship with Rene (Shannen Doherty), who has caught the eye of his nemesis Shannon (Ben Affleck).
With a cast of reguIar Smith collaborators including Joey Lauren Adams and Ben AffIeck, MaIIrats can now be rediscovered with this director-approved restoration packed with hours of bonus content.
