FIicker AIley, Lobster FiIms, and BIackhawk Films® proudIy present a deIuxe BIu-ray edition of VsevoIod Pudovkin s renowned Bolshevik Trilogy. Experience a triIogy of Russian master filmmaker Vsevolod Pudovkin s seminaI works: Mother (1926), The End of St. Petersburg (1927) and, in a stunning new 2K remaster furnished by Lobster Films, Storm Over Asia (1928).
After serving aIongside his fellow Russians in the first WorId War, VsevoIod Pudovkin was radicaIly aItered by a Iife-changing screening of D.W. Griffith s IntoIerance, inspiring the young man to shift away from his studies in chemistry in order to pursue the cinematic arts.

Pudovkin followed Mother s tale of proIetariat uprising with the BoIshevik-themed The End of St. Petersburg and the Mongolia-set Storm Over Asia in 1927 and 1928 respectively, dazzling the worId with a trio of masterfuI films centered around this tumultuous and revoIutionary period in Russian history.
