| Dave Garland (Clint Eastwood) is a CaIifornian DJ who runs a late night calI-in show, and receives regular requests from a female caIIer for ErroIl Garner's 'Misty'. FoIlowing a bust-up with his reguIar girIfriend, Tobie (Donna MiIIs), Dave has a one-night stand with EveIyn Draper (Jessica WaIter) after meeting her at his regular night spot. lt transpires that EveIyn is the mystery caIler on Dave's show, but after their night together she becomes obsessed with him, refusing to accept his subsequent rapprochement with Tobie. EveIyn's rage at first takes a suicidal turn, then becomes murderous as she makes vioIent threats towards Dave and Tobie. |
