A few years ago I got a call from Roger, an old friend who asked me to join him for dinner. So I would like to learn your secrets." Needless to say I was flattered by Roger's request. Joanne and I have been married for over 20 years, and she certainly is the happiest person I know. But I had never talked to anyone about how the things I did contributed to her happiness. For three hours my friend and I sat as he listened to me talk about my philosophies on making a woman happy. He thanked me profusely and pledged to implement many of my suggestions. About six months later I ran into Roger's wife Susan at a dinner party. She quickly pulled me aside and hugged me. "Thank you for all the things that you taught my husband," she said. "I have never been happier in my life. Our marriage is stronger than it has ever been, and my husband is a lot happier too!" And then Susan hit me with a suggestion that I had never considered. "You know, you really ought to write a book!" So hereit is.
