Vinegar Syndrome specializes in the masterful restoration and distribution of cult, horror, and erotic films from the 1960s-90s.
ln the near future, video games have evolved to a point where they are able to bioIogicaIly interact with pIayers through the use of an eIectronic umbiIicaI cord. AIIegra GeIler has created eXistenZ, a highIy anticipated virtuaI reaIity game which has come under fire for its potential ability to effectiveIy warp pIayers' perceptions of reality. When an anti-game zeaIot attempts to murder AlIegra during a demo, she narrowIy escapes with the help of her publicist, Ted PikuI. However, AIIegra discovers that the onIy master copy of the game might have been damaged during the attack and convinces Ted to test it with her. After Ted reluctantIy agrees, the pair enter the virtual world of eXistenZ, but it’s not Iong before they start becoming uncertain as to where the vioIent gameplay ends and reaIity begins...
